About the Coffee and the Origin:

The story of Santa Luzia Farm is deeply intertwined with Luciana’s journey. From supporting her husband, Gil César de Melo, in building the Coffee O'Melo legacy, Luciana transitioned into an active leadership role, bringing her vision and passion to the forefront. Today, she spearheads initiatives that prioritize sustainability, quality, and the empowerment of the local community. The farm spans the fertile lands of Campos Altos and Pratinha, where altitude and terroir converge to create ideal conditions for cultivating exceptional coffee varieties, such as Catuaí, Mundo Novo, and Arara. With 118 hectares under cultivation, Santa Luzia combines traditional practices with modern technology, ensuring each bean reflects the unique identity of its origin.

Empowering Women and Sustainability -  Santa Luzia Farm goes beyond coffee production; it champions sustainability and social responsibility. Luciana has been instrumental in developing projects that conserve native forests, restore water springs, and educate the younger generation about environmental stewardship. These efforts align with the Coffee O'Melo Group's broader goals of achieving Carbon Neutral Certification and advancing regenerative agriculture. Moreover, Santa Luzia Farm serves as a platform to highlight the crucial role of women in specialty coffee. By adopting Luciana’s name on its international coffees, the farm sends a powerful message: women are integral to the future of the coffee industry.

Award-Winning Excellence - Santa Luzia Farm is proud to contribute to the Coffee O'Melo Group’s reputation for excellence, consistently producing coffees that achieve high scores on the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) scale. The meticulous attention to detail in processes like Natural, Pulped Natural, and Fermentation (Anaerobic and Aerobic) ensures a unique sensory experience in every cup
